i first laid eyes on these two sometime between 2015-2017. i saw them in a fan comic where they were getting married. i didn't think much of it, so i just forgot about it. i saw them again in 2020, i was watching a tiktok clip of max insulting the player in the vr game. it was only in april of 2024 that i started to get into the franchise.
ever since then, i've dearly loved these two. they have every trope that i love. this is probably my favorite dynamic ever. and yes, i do ship freelance husbands and i ALMOST cried when i saw the ending of the devil's playhouse. that ending was my 9/11. no spoilers though, i'm not that evil.
i don't even know if words can express how happy these two make me. it's unreal. they've made me realize a lot of things, such as the fact that i deeply enjoy slapstick comedy and that i'm also a max kinnie. i mean
come on, his laziness, rambling, wandering around doing stupid shit, idk. a lot of stuff about him is super relatable to me. probably because i'm autistic, but whatever.
within the first few weeks of getting into this series, i begged my parents to buy me the max plushie cause i saw it in class and i almost cried. being seperated from him makes me stressed. now he sits on my bed and i squeeze him to death every day. i will cherish my little buddy forever.
